Warranty & Care Instructions
Please take time to read the following in its entirety to completely understand the terms and conditions of essential factors when dealing with the purchase and maintenance of the window film and PPF material. You are solely responsible for reviewing our terms and conditions prior to submitting request to have work performed.
ACCURACY OF SPECIFICATIONS: Estimates are based on the accuracy of the specifications provided to us by you, the customer. All price quotes given virtually (text, email, phone, etc.) are not guaranteed pricing and is subject to change.
If we discover after accepting the job or vehicle that modifications need to be made, we will notify you immediately, at which time a decision will be made whether there will be additional costs and how you wish for us to proceed. We make every effort to quote a job accurately; but in the event of unforeseen circumstances or costs, we will notify you if there will need to be cost adjustment or if delays will result.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, TERMS OF PAYMENT, LEGAL FEES, AND DISPUTES: The customer agrees to make full payment prior to the release of the products and/or vehicle. The vehicle or products will not be released until full payment has been processed accordingly. This is not an expectation contract and we are not responsible for buyers’ remorse. By accepting the product or vehicle you are accepting the job as complete and that the performance is satisfactory. You are responsible for inspecting the product and/or vehicle upon receipt. Black Jack Tinting conducts a final walk through where the customers shall identify to us any dispute concerning the qualify of the service. Black Jack Tinting will make every effort to remedy claims deemed legitimate.
Please remove personal belongings inside of your vehicle prior to service. Black Jack Tinting is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in vehicle in case of fire, theft, accident or any other cause beyond our control. We do not accept responsibility for consequential damages or loss of any kind related to the sale, installation or deliver of our products.
Please ensure that the interior of your vehicle is free of trash build up, pet hair, etc. that may hinder the ability to install the film. If your vehicle is found to be excessively dirty on the interior, an interior detail may be required prior to installation.
We do NOT have a waiting area. Please make arrangements to drop off and pick up your vehicle. We will provide you a 30 minute to one hour window prior to your vehicles completion for pick up. Depending on location, we may be able to offer drop off & pick up service. Please note that our drop off/pick up service applies to one person. We cannot transport families and/or children in car seats. Due to liability issues, we are unable to drop off or pick up vehicles. Please inquire prior to your appointment as this service is not guaranteed. KQD cannot keep your vehicle overnight. Your vehicle must be picked up by 6p unless otherwise stated or agreed upon in advance. Vehicles not picked up by 6p may need to pick up the next day. Any vehicles left in our possession overnight without our prior consent or notice will be subject to a $50/day storage fee. Our address will be provided after the deposit is paid.
PAYMENT TERMS:
Tint: Black Jack Tinting collects a $25 non-refundable deposit to secure a tinting appointment date and time. This deposit is applied to the balance of your service on the day of your appointment. If the deposit is not made at the time of booking, your appointment is not considered confirmed and may be forfeit. If you cancel your appointment, your deposit may also be forfeit. We will consider a one time reschedule on a case by case basis with 48 hours or more notice. A 10% retention fee is charged for all refunds on credit cards to cover our processing fees.
Paint Protection Film: A 25% non-fundable deposit for paint protection film appointments will be required prior to ordering material. We order material per job and cannot refund once the order is placed. Material lead time is two (2) days from order placed.
Payment is due in full upon release of the vehicle. We accept cash or any major credit card (except Discover's Card). We do not accept personal checks.
RETURNS: Window film material and paint protection film is a non-returnable item once the material is ordered, cut and or installed per the customer’s personal request. Any custom ordered window film or paint protection film for any project is paid for by the customer 100% prior to ordering the product. If the job is cancelled or the customer does not want the product for any reason the film cost is non-refundable.
CONDITION OF GLASS PRIOR TO WINDOW FILM INSTALLATION: Black Jack Tinting is not responsible for the condition of the surface the vehicle is brought to us in. Any existing scratches, cracks or other damage wmay be visible through the film, and such surface damage or imperfections may damage the film, cause the film to fail prematurely or the window film material may not adhere to the surface at all. We are not responsible for broken windows if there is prior damage prior to installation.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITION OF THE GLASS/VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE WINDOW FILM OR PPF BEING INSTALLED, OR WHAT IS UNDERNEATH THE WINDOW FILM OR PPF ONCE IT IS INSTALLED.
VEHICLE INSPECTION/CONDITION: Black Jack Tinting will complete a pre and post-inspection the day the car is delivered and alert the customer of any concerns prior to work being performed and after the vehicle is serviced.
Black Jack Tinting is not responsible for the condition of the surface the of the vehicle or the glass prior to installation. Any existing scratches, cracks or other damage may be visible through the film, and such surface damage or imperfections may damage the film, cause the film to fail prematurely or the window film material may not adhere to the surface at all. We are not responsible for broken windows if there is existing damage prior to installation.
Interior of the vehicle: The interior of your vehicle must be acceptably clean prior to tint application. Pet hair, sand and excessive dust particles can interfere with an application, no matter the skill level of the technician. We do have add on interior packages if your vehicle is found to be excessively dirty and you choose not to move forward with an interior detail, we may choose to decline the job and your deposit will be forfeit. On your insistance that we proceed with installation, Black Jack Tinting will not be liable for any debris in the tint. Customer will need to pay to remove and replace the tint.
CONTENT: We reserve the right to refuse any work or vehicle for any reason.
INSTALLATIONS:
WE ARE A TRAINING FACILITY. WE ARE PRICED LOWER THAN OUR COMPETITORS BECAUSE OUR TECHNICIANS ARE TRAINING.
If you are looking for quick and flawless turnover, we would be more than happy to refer you to other shops in the area. Though we will do our best to mitigate visible flaws, by allowing Black Jack Tinting to tint your vehicle, you understand there may be minor flaws in the installation. Only major noticeable blemishes/debris will constitute a remove and replace appointment.
Window film is a pliable material that is made to be installed on glass. We make every effort to make look as clean and seamless as possible, however, there may certain surfaces that window film will not adhere to such as plastic, rubber, dot matrix, etc. and customers are not advised to install on such areas.
If the customer requests that these areas be installed we are not responsible for the material not sticking or adhering to those surfaces and the manufacture will not warranty such items.
Per the IWFA (International Window Film Association) The glass with applied films shall be viewed at right angles to the glass from the room side and at a distance no less than six (6) feet. Viewing shall be carried out in natural daylight, not in direct sun light. The installation is deemed acceptable if all of the following are unobtrusive (effects during 30-60 day cure time should be disregarded). Dirt Particles, Hair and Fibers, Adhesive Gels, Fingerprints, Air Bubbles, Water Haze, Scores and Scratches, Film Distortion, Creases, Edge Lifting, Nicks and Tears. If any of these conditions still exist after 30-60 days we request the customer return at such time to have us evaluate the film.
While we make every effort to get the film as close to the edges as we can, when window film is installed there may be slight gaps. This allows for the water used in the installation to be squeegeed out. This also ensures that the film edges are not raised up by contact with the frame margin, dot matrix or other moldings, etc. Contact with the frame, dot matrix or moldings can lead to peeling of the film. A gap may also exist due to the type of glass or windows that the film is installed on, which Black Jack Tinting is not responsible for.
WINDOW FILM AND PPF COMES IN MANY DIFFERENT SHADES, COLORS, AND OPTIONS AND IS SELECTED SOLEY BY THE CUSTOMER AND IS INSTALLED AT THEIR REQUEST. BLACK JACK TINTING IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CUSTOMERS CHOICE IN FILM SELECTION OR FOR BUYERS REMORSE.
Installation time is based upon many factors including but not limited to, film selected, curing time, places where window film is being installed, size of windows, size of vehicle, complexity of installation areas and any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. We will make every effort to give reasonable time frames for instillation but reserve the right to change them at any time for any reason.
In most cases bubbles and haziness will subside in the 30-60 day cure time. We do not require a 30-60 day check-up for window film. If you see any areas of concern please return to our location with the vehicle so we can see the vehicle first hand and to be able to address any issues at that time. If you do not return within the 30-60 day required time frame to address any issues we are not responsible for the condition of the window film material or any installation issues.
Please note that no tint installation will be perfect. While we take every precaution to ensure debris does not enter the tint while we are tinting, we cannot guarantee that there will be NO debris in the tint. Due to the environment our company is tinting in, there may be slight debris in the tint. We will not warranty claims for these small debris. Black Jack Tinting will warranty claims based on debris on a case by case basis. By signing this agreement, you understand this and agree to our terms.
REMOVALS: All removals for window film are quoted separately and are not included in our tinting quotes. Black Jack Tinting is not responsible for the condition of the glass underneath the film being removed or for any damage that occurs when such material is removed from the glass/vehicle such as, but not limited to damage to the rear-window de-foggers.
GEOSHIELD WARRANTY
Tint:
Geoshield proudly warrants professionally sold and installed Geoshield brand Automotive Window Film. Geoshield warrants its window film against discoloration, peeling, adhesive failure, cracking, delaminating, oxidation and corrosion. This warranty shall only extend to the replacement of new Geoshield window films for the original owner of the vehicle (excluding labor cost).
Care and Maintenance Tips-
Please do not roll down your windows for at least 72 hours after installation. In order to insure the coating has time to bond to the glass please do not clean for at least 7 days and do not pick at the edges. Your film at first may appear to be hazy or have water bubbles, this is normal and will disappear, please allow 4-6 weeks for the film to cure.
Cleaning-
When cleaning coating use a non-ammonia based solution and wipe off lightly with a non-abrasive cloth. Use a mild soap and clean, soft cloth
To Make a Claim Retain warranty card and proof of purchase in order to process any claim. Any customer desiring warranty service should contact their nearest authorized Geoshield dealer or contact Geoshield directly through its website, www.geoshieldusa.com. This warranty is only provided to the original customer and is non transferable. This warranty card, invoice and roll number is required in order to process any claim. The installing dealer is solely responsible for the quality of installation on your vehicle. This product is to be used in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. Installation of this product in a manner that violates state of federal law is a misuse of the product and voids all warranties expressed or implied, including without limitation, any warrant of merchantability, quality or fitness for any purpose whatsoever other than described herein. Geoshield is not liable in any manner whatsoever for injury, loss or damages related to the use of this product.
Please register your warranty here. It will be the sole responsibility of the customer to register their installation to be warrantied.
Paint Protection Film:
Geoshield proudly warrants professionally sold and installed Geoshield brand Paint Protection Film for a Period of 10 years from purchase date. Geoshield warrants its paint protection film against discoloration, peeling, adhesive failure, cracking, delaminating, oxidation and corrosion. This warranty shall only extend to the replacement of new Geoshield Paint Protection Film for the original owner of the vehicle.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, accidents, application error, normal wear and tear, dents from impact, swirl marks, marring, scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips to the painted surface, hard water spots, damage from automatic washes or improper wash techniques. This agreement excludes vehicles used for commercial purposes.
Ceramic Top coat may lose its hydrophobic properties after 12 months due to contamination or environmental exposure. Annual maintenance is required to maintain warranty. Annual wash must be carried out by authorized Geoshield installer, within 12 months of purchase. Failure to undertake an annual maintenance will void warranty. Annual maintenance may include exterior wash, decontamination and inspection and possible reapplication of ceramic coating. Authorized Geoshield Dealer will set the fee for annual maintenance.
This warranty only applies to manufacturing quality. The installing dealer is solely responsible for the quality of installation on your vehicle. Geoshield and/or Installer must be notified of any claim due to failure of product performance within 30 days of occurrence; Geoshield is not liable in any manner whatsoever for injury, losses or damages related to the use of this product.
